Conduct market studies about industry data, market sizes, segments and organisation (channels, value chains, business models), main actors, specific customers’ needs, data on competing or comparable products, competition, pricing, trends… through recurrent surveys and specific studies. Target markets are : medical devices for rapid diagnoses of certain types of cancer, or of certain viral diseases, “Points of Care” devices, or industrial size machines for mass tests and detection.
Examines, understands, synthetizes technical and economic documentation. S/He identifies, qualifies and addresses business opportunities, contributes to overall business planning, and business cases constructions. S/He then specifies the products to be created to meet demand(s) as closely as possible, as well as stresses the value proposition offered by the products and the differentiation, they provide to the company compared to the competition. Product roadmap management, including product positioning, value proposition, pricing strategy, GoTo Market strategy and execution. This GoTo Market will depend on each target country’s economical, political and business context.
S/He specifies the sales arguments to be used by the Sales team. S/He support the sales team by providing product expertise and appropriate marketing materials. S/He may attend some customer meetings. S/He increases WAINVAM-E’s brand awareness and communication through digital marketing.
S/he specifies the quality requirements related to various norms such as ISO15189, ISO22870 and ISO13485. S/he manages the relationships to regulatory bodies (e.g. ANSM in France, others in other countries).
S/He sets communication and advertising strategy to launch the products, as part of a complete product range and roadmap, making sure that the market requirements are integrated into a coherent product roadmap. In this segment s/he manages Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), i.e. identifying, selecting and engaging them into long term relationships.
S/He attends exhibitions and trade shows to learn about trends and new products. S/He promotes WAINVAM-E products and brand towards customers and partners on a global basis and taking into account differences between countries.
S/He monitors of the sales of the products and their evolution. S/He is thus involved in the choice and type of distribution and identifies product improvements.
S/He maintains efficient relations with upstream and downstream departments: R&D, Sales, but also possibly suppliers… S/he is the first level of product support (technical, applicative).
The product manager has in-depth knowledge and proven experience in the field of sales and marketing. The job of product manager also requires good interpersonal skills, negotiation and synthesis skills, and a creative and open mind. The product manager must respect objectives and be able to withstand stress and be available.
- Minimum 10 years experience in product management for health Point of Care devices and consumables products
- Proven track record in sales and marketing of POC devices
- Demonstrated abilities in digital marketing, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent English.
