Permanent Contract/Full time: Embedded software engineer, M/F


Our team is currently composed of 37 people with different backgrounds, cultures and experiences. The R&D department (23 people) is divided into a research-oriented part (IRDUAC) and a product development-oriented part (ECFEEM department – Engineering and Functional, Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical Compliances). The ECFEEM department currently has 7 people in electronics and 2 in mechanics.


The engineer will be in charge of the development of embedded software necessary for the development of our sensors.  The candidate will evolve within a software team responsible for the development of the entire chain of embedded software, from the toolchain to the HAL through the bootloader as well as the various drivers for the operating systems (RTOS, Linux, virtualizer. …).

The missions that will be entrusted to him/her will include

  • Full development of embedded software
  • Writing of the software specifications
  • Implementation of the development environment
  • Optimization of the memory management (MMU, MPU, MCU)
  • Specification of the new products with the hardware team
  • Analysis of communication protocols
  • Writing of test procedures
  • Test and validation
  • Writing of technical files


We are looking for a motivated candidate with at least 10 years of experience in the development of embedded software and with the following skills:                   ·        C/C++

  • SPI, UART, I2C, DMA, memory controller
  • Bootloader
  • RTOS
  • Unit testing framework
  • ARM architecture
  • Git
  • One of these domains would be a plus: STM32, Python, Linux kernels, FPGA

Curiosity, rigor, creativity, and ability to evolve in a multidisciplinary environment are expected. Good interpersonal skills and a good level of English are essential.
