PEGs are a class of biocompatible carbon chains frequently used in the fields of chemistry and biology.
The length of the carbon chain and the terminal chemical function can be adapted to the needs. Thanks to this PEG function, EVADIA-NDF functionalised nano-diamonds will bind to different molecules of your choice, depending on your applications, to serve as sensors, markers and transporters.

Applications

EVADIA-NDF fluorescent nano-diamonds can be used in physiological environments

  • As sensors: the PEG function binds to your molecule of interest to detect the variation of a physical parameter (temperature, pH, magnetic field, etc.).
  • As markers: the PEG function binds to your molecule of interest to mark it and detect its presence.
  • As carriers: The PEG function binds to your molecule of interest so that the functionalized nano-diamond transports it to the relevant location.
